Leaf by Leaf
"I want to capture the moment when my readers free their spirits, look inward, claim their space, and prepare to change the world, little by little, leaf by leaf. This book is crafted for them to uncover the messages I wish to convey, all while pausing to listen to the whispers of their own hearts."

"A leaf is living tissue. The closer one gets to the details, the deeper one's understanding of that life becomes. Just like the dialogue I had with my patients: the more I immersed myself in the human being, the more I gave, the more I received."
We can reach the extraordinary through ordinary means. It's not where you're born that matters, but what you create with your life.

Retirement isn't about withdrawing, but celebrating. Life doesn't end, it recreates itself.

ABOUT RAMIRO PRUDENCIO
Transformative Vision
At age five, Ramiro Prudencio lost an eye in an accident - a challenge that became his guiding metaphor: "What I would lose in looking outward taught me to see inside." In the words of the Persian poet Rumi, whom he often quotes, "The wound is where the light enters you."
Born in Bolivia, Ramiro became a respected urological surgeon in the United States, practicing for over 35 years with precision and compassion. His medical background in biology provided a foundation for his later artistic vision.
After retirement, searching for new purpose, he studied art at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Influenced by Japanese Ikebana and Wabi-sabi aesthetic principles of finding beauty in imperfection, he discovered his calling when he held an autumn leaf to the light of the sun and saw a "rainbow of possibilities."
Now, at 86, he works daily from dawn to dusk, embracing his creative second act with determination:
"I made an oath to myself: not to be discouraged, to not admit defeat, and to reject the role of victim however easy it would have been to assume it."
